For some reason, a couple of my posts (which, I am certain I wrote!) seem to not be on my blog anymore…

Since the plan is to turn this blog into a special book, I will share again! At the tail-end of the crazy summer before we moved, Pop and David came to visit Amsterdam for a few days. They were our last visitors!

Pop and David stayed in Amsterdam and then Bryan, Pop and David went on to visit Normandy together. The first evening, on August 17th, 2018, we went to a delicious  Italian dinner at Impero Romano. This Italian restaurant, down the street from our apartment, is one of our favorites! It was special hearing about Pop’s many European experiences being stationed in Germany during his service.

I remember David requested the “selfie” above. 🙂

The next morning, we did one of our favorite activities in the world: took a “coffee cruise” on our boat!

We loved showing Pop our favorite spots around the city from the water! Bryan drove the boat, of course.

While David and Pop were visiting, Bryan and I were in the thick of packing up our items to move home. It was definitely bittersweet.

That evening, we ate dinner at another one of our favorite spots, Cafe Riva. It was windy, but an absolutely gorgeous night!

We loved being able to share our experience with David and (especially) Pop!
