Over the first weekend of March, we swapped snowflakes for sandcastles and jetted to the Canary Islands to celebrate Jacqueline’s upcoming nuptials.  We were dying for some sun, and the Canary Islands delivered.

If you told me before we moved to Amsterdam, that I would go to the Canary Islands  for a new friend’s bachelorette weekend, I wouldn’t have believed you. Off the coast of Africa, but a territory of Spain, the Canary islands are a vacation hotspot in Europe. They are one of the only places in Europe that 100% guarantees sun, and we could not take the chance on anywhere else.

We dubbed the weekend the “Jaclorette” to celebrate our Jacqueline’s bachelorette. 🙂

On Saturday morning, we drove to an amazing hike. We were all pretty tired and hung over so the drive was tough, but it was all worth it!
